Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong (Approx. 118 km / 3 hrs)

Your journey begins with arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, where you'll meet your driver and set off for Shillong, the capital city of Meghalaya. On the way, enjoy a scenic stop at Umiam Lake, a peaceful and picturesque reservoir surrounded by lush green Khasi hills—ideal for photography and a refreshing break. Often referred to as the “Scotland of the East,” Shillong is nestled among pine-covered hills and offers a cool, pleasant climate, colonial charm, and cascading waterfalls. You’ll arrive and check in for an overnight stay in Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong to Cherrapunjee (Approx. 60 km / 2 hrs)

After breakfast, you will drive to Cherrapunjee, locally known as Sohra, which holds the distinction of being one of the wettest places on Earth. Surrounded by dramatic cliffs and overlooking the plains of Bangladesh, this region is rich with natural beauty and adventure. The day is filled with exploration, including visits to Arwah Cave, Nohkalikai Falls—the tallest plunge waterfall in India—Mawsmai Cave, Seven Sisters Falls, Eco Park, Garden of Caves, and Thangkharang Park. After a fulfilling day of sightseeing, you’ll settle in for an overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

Day 3: Nongriat Trek Excursion

This day promises an exciting adventure as you head from your hotel to Tyrna Village, the starting point for the famous Nongriat Trek. From there, a descent and ascent of approximately 3,500 steps through dense forest trails lead you to the stunning Double Decker Living Root Bridge, a marvel of bioengineering and natural beauty. For those who wish to explore further, there’s an optional trek to the breathtaking Rainbow Falls at an extra cost. After your trek, you’ll be driven back to your hotel in Cherrapunjee for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Cherrapunjee to Mawlynnong & Dawki (Approx. 110 km / 4 hrs)

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey toward Mawlynnong, a village celebrated as the cleanest in Asia and affectionately known as "God’s Own Garden." Surrounded by vibrant greenery, the village offers a glimpse into sustainable living and community-based ecotourism. You can also trek to the nearby living root bridge in Riwai village. Continuing onward, you’ll reach Dawki, located on the Indo-Bangladesh border. The highlight here is the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River, where you can enjoy an optional boat ride, depending on the river conditions. After a day filled with natural wonders, enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Dawki to Shillong via Jowai (Approx. 118 km / 4 hrs)

Begin the day with breakfast and check out from the hotel for your return journey to Shillong. The scenic drive includes visits to the stunning Krang Shuri Waterfalls, the lesser-known but beautiful Phe Phe Falls, and the sacred Nartiang Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, rich in spiritual and historical significance. After exploring these captivating sites, you will reach Shillong and check into your hotel for the final overnight stay.

Day 6: Shillong to Guwahati (Approx. 118 km / 3 hrs)

On your final day, enjoy breakfast at your hotel before checking out. You will then be transferred back to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey, carrying with you unforgettable memories of Meghalaya’s hills, waterfalls, and cultural gems.
